Rachel Boyle is the founder/owner of ‘Pilates 792’, a private Pilates studio in the heart of Canmore. Originally from the UK, her career began as an engineer in the oil and gas industry, where she worked for 25 years. Her work allowed her to travel the world, and live in a number of different countries, with the final stop being Canada. However, waking up one day and not being able to bend and put shoes on, she decided a lifestyle change was needed.

After a series of physiotherapy sessions, Rachel was introduced to Classical Pilates and that is where her new journey began. After a few sessions, and as the constant pain in her hip and back disappeared, she couldn’t believe how she was feeling, Rachel was hooked! As a former engineer, the equipment and how it could move the body fascinated her, and at this point she knew she needed to learn more about the classical Pilates method; so she took the first step and enrolled in Pilates school.

A graduate of the Embody School of Pilates here in Canmore, Rachel completed 850hrs of in-depth training and was awarded a classical teacher training diploma in Pilates.

Rachel has made Canmore her home and lives here with her husband and her very lively border collie, all of them enjoying the outside lifestyle and the new-found lease on life, taking every opportunity available to enjoy the outdoors, whether camping, kayaking, paddle boarding or just a leisurely walk with the dog.
